IBPS PO 2020 Apply Online for 1167 Probationary Officers Posts

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has Issued Notice for Conducting 10th Phase of Common Recruitment Process for probationary Officers / Management Trainees Posts in Government owned Banks in country. PO/MT Recruitment Process will have Two Phase Online Examinations (Mains and Prelims).

There will be Two parts of Online Examination Preliminary and Mains. Preliminary test will be of 1 Hour Duration and candidates shortlisted in the Preliminary test will later be called for Mains test to be of 3 Hours Duration.

Candidates shortlisted in Mains will later be called to participate in the Common Interviews.

Upon Completion of Common Interviews, a common merit will be made on the basis of Online test and Interviews. Candidates will then be allotted to any one of participating banks based on Candidates’ Preferences and Merit List.

Online Application for this Common PO/MT Recruitment Process shall be active between 05-08-2020 to 26-08-2020 (Both dates Inclusive).

Note that IBPS has so far reported 1167 Vacancies in PO Recruitment Process 2020-21. 4 Banks have not yet reported their vacancies yet. Therefore the number of vacancies may increase and we expect it to be approx 2000 Posts.


Dates to Remember :

  • Starting Date of Online Application : 05-08-2020.
  • Closing Date of Onlne Application and Online Payment of Fee : 26-08-2020
  • Get Call letter for Examination: September 2020
  • Preliminary Online Examination (Tentative dates) : Oct 3, 10, 11 – 2020
  • Declaration of result of Preliminary examination : October/ November 2020
  • Main Online Exam : 28-11-2020
  • Result of Mains Online Exam : December 2020
  • Call Letters for Interview : January 2021
  • Conduct of Common Interviews : January / February 2021
  • Provisional Allotment : April 2021


Selection Procedure :

Online test will be in Two phases of Online objective tests – Preliminary and Mains. Preliminary test will be held on Oct 3, 10, 11

Those clearing the Prelimnary test will be called for mains test to be held on Nov 28, 2020

Candidates shortlisted in both the Prelims and mains test will then be called for Common Interviews to be held in Jan – Feb 2021

Provisional allotments to any of the participating banks will be made in April 2020 based on preferences set by the candidates and Overall performance – Prelims test, Mains test and Interviews.

Negative Marking will be 25% of marks for the particular Question.


Fee Structure :

Application Fee is Rs. 175 for SC/ST/PWD and Rs. 850 for others. Fee is to be paid Online By Credit / Debit Cards / Net Banking Through payment gateway at the time of Online application.


Procedure to Apply :

Interested & eligible candidates may fill online application through provided online facility form 05-08-2020 to 26-08-2020. Make sure to apply carefully with all details mentioned correctly. Photograph and Signature must be uploaded carefully. After completing online application candidates take print out of the online application and keep for future use only. No need to send the application Print at this stage.
